The club is devoted exclusively to the raising and propagation of African violets and is related to the Delta Gesneriad and African Violet Society. The art of creating miniaturized
trees or developing woody plants shaped like trees and
growing them in containers is the focus of the
Capital City Bonsai
Association. Meetings, scheduled on an irregular

English, “Satsuki” means “fifth month”. The
Satsuki Aikokai
Association focuses on the use of late blooming
Azaleas with spectacular booms and color combinations on the
same plant to create exceptional bonsai sculptures.
Meetings are at 7:00 p.m. on the third Monday of the
month from September through June with a program
presentation at each one. Additional workshops are held on
weekends in the spring and fall at a local Bonsai nursery.
